launch...habitat spring/summer 2014

habitat

A simple, pared down approach is the theme for
Habitat's Spring/Summer 2014 collection,
which is split into 5 stories;
 transparent, optic, organic,
functional and
geometric.

Each collection features
a play on material,
colour and texture, but all
sharing Habitat's statement ethos
of fun, affordable and statement design-pieces
that are enduring, inventive and affordable.

Founded in 1964 to make
 outstanding design accessible to all,
Habitat is still a force to be
reckoned with on the high street.
Moving with the times and adapting to
 the nation's changing shopping habits,
they have opened over 16 mini stores nationwide,
as well as 3 London flagship stores.

2012 saw the launch of 'Platform',
an innovative design initiative and
gallery space in the Kings Road store, and now hosts
 design exhibitions throughout the year.

The Habitat blogazine was launched in 2013,
providing image led inspiration in
home decoration, design and
behind-the-scenes stories
for all us die-hard Habitat fans out there.

Here are some of my favourite picks for the Season...
any favourites for you?!

  1. Habitat UK and Spain are apparently different companies with different designs since we have none of those in store right now here in Barcelona. I am always amazed when I am in London observing the fresh designs in furniture and complements you are having there. Will now have a look if they ship to Spain on their site. Have a wonderful day, Caroline! xx

  3. I loved shopping in Habitat when I was in France… Interesting what Gudy said, I always thought the UK and French to be the same. That lamp in the bottom image is gorgeous! M xx
